2. RACE FEE AND ENTRY PRE-REQUISITE
To be able to participate in the Preikestolen Trailrun, you have to be at least 15 years old on race day.
2025 Preikestolen Trailrun Couse Race Fees: €130 and it includes:
Trailrun race of your life, race volunteers, safety arrangement, aid stations, finisher's plaque, etc.
Finisher meal, drinks you order and pay at the bar.
Invitation to join Rockman After Party at BaseCamp.
Access to book accommodation at BaseCamp.
Your race entry is non-refundable and non-transferable.
PS NOTE! We offer a Refundable Booking options at a 15% premium when signing up to the event. This is an additional offering/insurance to athletes offered through RaceID. The Refundable Booking allows you to claim a full refund of your registration fee (including any extras and additional products bought during registration) in case you cannot take part in Preikestolen Trailrun 2025 due to any emergency circumstances. 3. RACE COURSE
3.1 Race course
The athletes must follow the race course shown in map and follow the race markings.
The athletes that do not follow course will be disqualified.
Athletes shall not overtake other racers and shall walk past tourists on dangerous areas.
3.2 Checkpoints
There will be a number of checkpoints throughout the course, see map.
There may be additional un-announced checkpoints along course, not shown on map.
Athletes failing to pass a checkpoint, or by the designated cutoff time, will be disqualified.
3.2 Weather conditions
In case of extreme weather (such as high winds or poor visibility or in case of another unexpected situation), the race organization has the right to shorten, or change the course or in worst case even cancel the race. Typically for July expect cold and shifting weather conditions on the trails and mountain plateau.
4. EQUIPMENT
4.1 General Equipment
All athletes must bring all their mandatory gear themselves to race registration.
Details for mandatory equipment are provided below, and kits will be checked before the race. If you cannot show all required gear, you will NOT be provided with your race bib and therefore not eligible to start the race.
4.2 Mandatory Equipment from Start to Finish:
1x First aid pressure bandage per team
1x Whistle per athlete
1x Water flask minimum 500 ml per athlete
4.3 Supplied by Preikestolen Trailrun:
1x Race bib per athlete to be worn during the entire race (please remember to return bib after race).
5. TIMING
5.1 Timing
The time starts at start of respective distance, and when you have passed the finish line. The link to timing will be updated on our webpage and on our social media accounts a few days before the race.
6. Cut off TIMEs (TO BE UPDATED)
Athletes/Teams failing to pass a checkpoint by the specified cut-off time at 15:00 will be disqualified.
PulpIT Rock junction after 15:00 (Long and Short Course). Arriving here after turning at Pulp IT Rocks means you take the turist trail direcly down to the finishline.
7. RACERS RESPONSIBILITY
7.1 General
The athletes must know the rules and follow these.
The athletes shall respect other athletes, organization, spectators, tourists, the environment and the people living in the race area.
The athletes are not allowed to use unfair methods to get advantages.
Doping is forbidden as per Norges Idrettsforbund (NIF).
The athletes are obliged to help, in case of emergency, if the organization is asking for it.
7.2 Before the race
The athletes can train and scout the course prior to the race but have to respect the residents and land-owners in the area in the area and behave according to the Norwegian “Allemansretten”.
7.3 During the race
The athletes are participating at their own risk and cannot hold the organization responsible for any accident during the race.
The athletes are obliged at their best ability to help another athlete that has been injured or sick.
An athlete that has abandoned the race shall report it as soon as possible to the organization.
Garbage can only be left at the energy stations. Littering will lead to automatic disqualification at first offense.
8. RULES
8.1 Race jury
Race jury is consists of the 3 Race Directors from the race organization together with the Head of Safety.
The race jury is:
Enforcing the rules
Decide the outcome of a protest
Decide about disqualification
Decide about course changes and changes in the rules
At least two members of the jury is needed to be able to take a race jury decision.
The race jury has the right to use “common sense” to take a decision about arisen situation if it is not clear in the rules.
The decision of the race jury is definitive.
8.2 Protests
A protest must be given in written to the race organization within an hour after finishing the race.
A protest must include:
Time and location.
Race number and signatures of the racer(s).
Race number or athlete/team name of the athlete/team that the protest is against.
The reason for the protest.
If possible include witness with name or team number.
A decision from the race jury will be communicated with to those involved as soon as possible
8.3 Disqualifications
Offense against the rules may lead to time penalty or, in worst case, lead to a disqualification.
8.4 External assistance
It is not allowed to receive assistance from other people, outside of the race, other than the race organization. Each athlete has to make their own way from start to finish. Assistance by other athletes within the race is permitted.
9. SAFETY
8.1 General safety rules
The athletes shall never move further away than 10 m from the trail.
The race organization or the medic team can refuse an athlete to continue if they:
A) are not equipped with above specified compulsory equipment.
B) judge them not capable caused by fatigue or being in such bad physical condition.
10.MEDIA AND SPONSOR EXPOSURE
10.1 Sponsor markings
The athlete is allowed to have sponsors marked on their race gear.
10.3 Race bibs
The race bibs cannot be modified in any way and must be worn all the time
10.4 Pictures and film rights
The athletes gives the race organization the right to use pictures and film material taken during the race to be used free of rights in marketing, press material, internet, television and movie. The athletes also accept our video or film crew to use drones as part of filming on the course.
11. ACCEPTING THE RULES
By entering Preikestolen Trailrun all athletes have accepted the rules in full.
